Fox Repellent?

A lady I once worked for in her garden was becoming alarmed at the increasing number of foxes in the area, especially when they would come into her garden, dig up her lawn, and even, during the summer, pinch her flip-flops from the patio. She located a remedy in a bottle that had to be mixed with compostable material and placed in old-fashioned sacks at strategic corners of her garden. It was based on a wolf’s urine, and so provided the fearful prospect of a predator to the common fox.

Something the bottle’s labelling didn’t inform you of was the fact that the mix would give off an enormous and very obnoxious smell. And it did. So much so that several of the nearby neighbours began to ask each other, “What is that awful smell?”

Embarrassed by this, the lady asked me to very discreetly dig some deep holes and bury all of the sacks forthwith, while continuing to deny any knowledge of it all to her neighbours.
